Catalonia, futsal, and community gyms…

Catalonia has a municipal gym in almost every city where locals train, play games, and host tournaments. In the same way Americans take pride in our public libraries, Catalonians treasure their community sports facilities. Futsal is so engrained in the sporting culture that many youth players dedicate themselves solely to the sport. FC Barcelona’s futsal specific players being the classic example. Catalonia’s passion for futsal is not unique to this region, but can also be found throughout Spain.
